In less than four months we are staring down the year 2020, a new Seattle City Council, and a Presidential Election. Locally, our “grow” metrics remain strong: job growth, income growth, rental rate growth. Nationally, the remainder of the country is not that far behind. Globally, not so much!
In our local apartment market, we see fewer cranes in the air, yet absorption of new apartment units remains strong, and the investment market continues to trade on strong economic tailwinds, cheap debt, and low cap rates.
What do we have in store for the year(s) to come?
A recession? A mild downturn? Neither?
Getting the best information about economic and investment markets remains essential to making critical decisions about when and how you invest in the Seattle and Puget Sound apartment market.
It’s September, both fall weather and football arrived…and so has events season!
