With 26 multi-family developments of 50+ rental units completed within the past year, Seattle has seen a total of 4,279 new apartments delivered to market in 2015 by this segment, 2,561 of which (60% to be more precise) part of the 10 biggest projects completed in 2015.

However impressive that may seem, the numbers are dwarfed by those recorded in 2014, when 43 residential developments of 50 rental units or more were completed – adding an impressive total of 6,384 apartments to the local inventory; that means that there were 39% less apartments delivered to market (in this segment) in 2015 compared to the previous year.

What 2015 brought extra: a suite of green developments, with the projects competing among themselves in energy efficient features and environmentally friendly additions — not to mention LEED designations.

To track down the biggest rental developments, we turned to Yardi Matrix that shows the Premiere on Pine to be the largest rental development new-to-market in 2015, with 386 apartments for rent. To see the runners up, here’s a breakdown of the 10 biggest Seattle rental developments completed in 2015:
